Pricing & API Keys

Watching on this site is free (a few videos a day, more with a free account). To build your own streaming website or app with the anime and movie API, get an API key: it starts on the Free plan (20 requests/day) and a paid plan raises its requests-per-day and requests-per-minute limits. One key for every plan — upgrading changes its limits, not the key.

Sign in from the top bar to get your free API key or buy a plan.

Pricing FAQ

What counts as a request?

Every HTTP call made with your API key counts as one request, whatever the endpoint: search, suggestions, details, media sources or the stream proxy. Video players fetch in chunks, so one playback through the stream proxy can take several requests. Calls rejected with 401, 403 or 429 don't count.

What happens when I hit my limit?

The API answers HTTP 429 with a JSON body saying which limit you hit (per minute or per day) and a Retry-After header. Per-minute limits clear within a minute; the daily quota resets at 00:00 UTC. Every response also carries X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining headers so you can slow down before you hit it.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. Buying a different plan switches your key to it immediately, and its full period starts that day. Renewing the plan you're already on adds the new period to the time you have left. Your API key stays the same either way.

Do unused requests roll over?

No. Each day starts with your plan's full daily quota, and anything unused that day is gone at 00:00 UTC.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans don't auto-renew: you pay for one month, six months or three days at a time. If you don't renew, your key keeps working on the Free plan's limits when the period ends.

Is there a refund policy?

You can test on the Free plan or the $1 3-Day Pass before buying, so paid plans aren't refunded once activated. Billing mistakes, such as a double charge, are always refunded: contact support with your payment reference.

What content is available, and can the catalog change?

One catalog covers anime, animation, movies and series, served from AnimeDoc's content providers. Titles are added and removed as provider rights change, and some episodes may be unavailable at times, so the catalog can change without notice. Always handle a title or episode that's missing.

Using your key

Pass it as a header on any of the anime endpoints — never in a public frontend, since anyone can read your page's network requests. Call it from your own backend.

curl -X POST "https://api.animedoc.cloud/api/v2/anime/search/" \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
